Precedent vs. President

  1. For those that cannot distinguish the different sounds, one uses the "S" sound, as in precedent. The other is a "Z" sound as in president. Also, president is pronounced with the accent on the first syllable when precedent is sometimes pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. PreCEDEnt, PRESident.
